There are two types of exercises you can add: cardio or strength. Cardio refers to exercises such as running and swimming that boost your heart rate up and build endurance, while strength exercises are geared towards building muscle and improving… well strength.
For every exercise that you want to add follow these steps:
Select cardio or strength
Choose your exercise category
Finally pick your exercise that you wish to add to your workout
Enter Set Details
At the bottom of the Add Exercises box you’ll see an “Options” section titled “Planned Reps/Weight”
By default DailyBurn will assume you want 3 sets of any particular strength exercise and will not choose and specific weight or repetition combination.
If this is fine with you, you can skip this.
If you wish to specify the amount of weight or the number of reps then:
Enter weight in the first box and or repetitions in the second box. In the image below, we’ve chosen a set of 10 repetitions at 150 lbs.
Click the “Add Set” link at the bottom to add additional sets
If you are adding a cardio exercise, you will have the option to enter in distance and time infomation instead of set and repetition information.
IMPORTANT: You cannot add sets without setting a weight or rep. For example lets say you want 2 sets of a particular exercise. You cannot simply click add set once. Even though you will see 2 rows indicating 2 sets, they will not register within the workout. Enter in values before clicking add exercise to ensure that you will have 2 sets instead of the default 3.
When you’ve finished setting options click the add exercise button
When you’ve completed adding your exercises click the save my workout button.
Take a look at your workout and make sure everything looks good, particularly the order of the exercises and the set and repetition combinations.
Sometimes daily burn, daily burn will mess up the order of your exercises, if that has happened to you, there is an easy fix for this.
After clicking save workout you should be presented with a page that has a “Reorder Exercises” link on the right hand side menu.
Drag your exercises into the order you would like and click the “Click here when you are done” link to finish.
Congratulations! You’ve just created a workout!
